Liam is a senior music education major and trumpeter from Milton, MA. He enjoys playing and listening to jazz music, spending time outdoors, and eating breakfast food. Around campus, you can find him conducting the Pride of the Orange Marching band or hitting the grind in one of Crouse College's many beloved practice rooms.
Benji Wittman is a Senior in the Dual BM/MBA Music Industry (and JCM) Program through VPA’s Setnor School of Music and the Whitman School of Management. Since joining Phi Mu Alpha in 2017, he continues to grow and push himself and others with the power of music, whether performing in a SU ensemble or personal group in the studio, behind the soundboard, or on the road. On campus, Benji is highly involved and is associated with things like the School of Music (as a TA and Recording Services Engineer), Recreation Services (as a Climbing Wall Supervisor, Challenge Course Facilitator, and XC Ski Instructor), SU Food Services (as Graham Dining’s Student Employee Manager), and WERW Radio (as the Principle Sound Technician).

Fraternity Education Officer (FEO)
Sean is the newly appointed FEO of the Theta Chapter and a music education major at SU. He is a member of the SU Wind Ensemble, SU Sax be Quartet, the SU Marching Band and FYP, a theater organization on campus. He is also the baritone saxophone section-leader of the SU Marching Band and serves as the Vice President of the SU chapter of the New York State Band Director's Association. In his free time, Sean likes to spend time with friends, whether it be relaxing at someone's house, or out getting food. He is most excited for the upcoming year, and can't wait to start working with the next class of probationary members of the Theta Chapter.

Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Jamed is a sophomore, computer science major at Syracuse University. Jamed is a member of a few musical groups on campus, for example, The Syracuse University Marching Band, The Sour Sitrus Society, The Syracuse University Wind Ensemble, and a brass band comprised of members of his chapter. Jamed's primary instrument is tuba, but he also is very fond of the recorder. When not making music, you will typically find him doing homework, hanging with friends, playing soccer, or watching Hulu. Jamed rushed PMA in the Spring of 2018 and is now the secretary at the Theta Chapter. He is looking forward to making more memories with all of the brothers and further improving as a musician over the next year.
Collegiate Province Representative (CPR)/ Historian
Hailing from Oswego, New York, Tyler Youngman is a Senior at Syracuse University studying Information Management & Technology and Music History & Cultures, with a minor in Music Performance. He is the Syracuse University Newell W. Rossman Jr. Scholar in the Humanities, and member of the University Honors Program. Outside of class, he is involved in the school Peer Advisors, Tau Beta Sigma Band Service Sorority, SUMB, and Hendricks Chapel Choir. Tyler currently serves as Province 17’s Collegiate Province Representative, 1 of 39 delegates to the national fraternity, and works with the Province Governor and Province Council to organize and implement province events. He is also Theta’s historian and is interested in looking at the early history of the fraternity. Tyler has also served as Theta’s PCR and Province 17’s ACPR.

Thomas is a Junior Music Education major at the Setnor School of Music. He studies classical voice and also plays trumpet on the side. In his free time, Thomas sings baritone for a competitive barbershop quartet, One Eleven, and serves on the music team for his competitive barbershop chorus, Harmonic Collective. Thomas joined when he was a freshman, and value this organization and his brothers highly!
Andrew Barnett is a sophomore music composition major from Westminster, Maryland. He joined Phi Mu Alpha with the Tau class this past year. Andrew also is the secretary of MTNA and a member of the Sour Sitrus Society. He plays piano, as well as Percussion in the Wind Ensemble. After graduating, he hopes to enter a career in writing music for video games and television
Hey! My name is David Rauscher! I’m a junior double majoring in Music and Psychology. Apart from PMA, I’m in the Syracuse University Marching Band, First Year Players, and a lot of ensemble in Setnor School of Music. I’m super excited to be serving PMA as the new Social Chair, looking forward to this coming year!
Cecil Nelson is a member of the Rho Class of the Theta Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha! He is about to be Senior in the Sound Recording Technology program at the Setnor School of Music and is in his second year of brotherhood. He is a Syracuse area native and is thrilled to have been elected to the position of Traditions Chair for the 2019-2020 academic year! Cecil is currently the only Bassoon Primary student at Syracuse University, although his musical interests do not end there. After finishing his third year in the Syracuse University Pep band as one of the drummers, he is looking forward to another year of leading that section! Cecil can also be found in the basement of Crouse College playing one of the 11 other instruments that he has learned how to play throughout his musical career. Outside of music, he is known to be found on the golf course, or in his room playing some sort of video game! As for plans after graduation... he would like to think that he has some time to figure that one out!
Hello! My name is Matthew Quezada, the Warden of the Theta Chapter. I'm a Music Education major, with a double major in Music History & Cultures with a minor in Jazz Studies. I am a member of the SU Symphony Orchestra, the Hendricks Chapel Choir, the SU Marching Band and the SU Pep-Band. I'm a Tuba Section Leader of the SU Marching Band, along with fellow brother Jamed, and I serve as a Director of Music of the SU Pep-Band. In my free time, I like to spend time with friends, whether it be hanging out, or getting food. I'm really excited for the upcoming year, and can't wait to see what the future holds for Theta! Adam Wolff is a sophomore Sound Recording Technology Major from Newtown Connecticut. He joined the Theta chapter in the spring of 2019! Outside of Phi Mu Alpha Adam enjoys being a part of the Syracuse University Marching Band among other ensembles. In his free time, Adam enjoys playing basketball and playing his trumpet!
David is a junior Environmental Science major at SUNY-ESF. Initiated in fall '17 in the Rho class. When he's not updating the social media he can be found playing the tenor saxophone for the Syracuse University Marching Band, Sour Sitrus Society Or in concert band. After all that any other free time is taken up mainly by being one with nature.

Alumni Relations Officer (ARO)
Nick Rottkamp graduates from Syracuse University with a BFA in Communications Design in the spring of 2019 just a few short weeks after joining the Theta chapter. For the past four years, he played trumpet in the Syracuse University Marching Band as well as the Sour Sitrus Society, and he is excited to participate in the Alumni band in the future. He currently works as a graphic designer and in his free time, Nick enjoys illustration, playing board games, and reading comic books.
Dr. John Warren
John F. Warren is an associate professor and director of choral activities at the Setnor School, where he conducts choirs and teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in conducting, choral literature, and rehearsal techniques. During his eight-year tenure, Syracuse choirs have been invited to perform at numerous state and regional conferences of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and toured throughout the northeast United States and Canada, as well as Argentina, Chile, France, Germany, Poland, and Uruguay. Additionally, his ensembles have regularly sung major works with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.
